Grade A
Grade A is a fastener grade designation used within the ASTM A307 specification for low-carbon steel bolts, studs, and threaded rods intended for general-purpose use. Grade A fasteners have a minimum tensile strength of 60 ksi (60,000 psi) and are commonly used in non-critical connections where moderate strength, good ductility, and cost-effectiveness are important. These fasteners are widely used in construction, maintenance, equipment assembly, and anchoring applications that do not require the higher strength levels of structural fasteners.
