Nominal Length
The stated or designated length of a fastener used for identification and ordering. It is the length a fastener is identified, specified, and sold by, rather than its exact measured length. Although the actual length may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances, the nominal length remains the reference dimension used in product specifications and industry standards.
