The USS Washers prevent imbedding and distortion to the washer and material being clamped. The washers provide a smooth, level protective bearing surface to fasten nuts and bolts. Without washers, bolts and screws can lose their clamping load if they imbed into the clamping material. The USS Washers are used on soft metals, wood and steel applications with assemblies of Grades 2 and 5 strength levels.

USS Washer – Non-Heat Treated

  • Large outside diameter prevents imbedding or distortion and protects clamping material
  • To get the best strength of bolt and nut, use washers
  • Smooth, level bearing surface to fasten bolt and nut
  • Used to fasten soft materials
  • Rockwell hardness of 38/45
  • Sizes range from 1/4” to 1 1/2”
