The Slot Screw Drive was the first screw drive to be developed. Today, Earnest provides Grade 5 Slotted Flat Head Cap Screws (or Slotted Flat Countersunk Head Cap Screws) with a flat head and a cone-shaped outer face. The outer cone allows the screws to sink into a countersunk clamping material giving them a flush mount. The low profile provides a flush clearance perfect for conveyor systems (frequently used in rock quarries and mines).
