How We Made: .021" Holes in 1/8" Hex Socket Pipe Plugs
We received over 7,000 1/8 inch Socket Head Pipe Plugs from a customer. All parts are first received and inspected, then sorted for production. A .021 inch hole is drilled into the bottom of each part.
Due to the small diameter of the hole, each part requires manual machining. By hand. 7,000 times. When all 7,000 parts are completed, we spot check tolerances to ensure quality.
Finally, the parts are ready to be packaged and shipped back to the customer.
