Earnest Machine Passes ISO Surveillance Audit

Earnest Machine is pleased to announce we have passed this year’s ISO surveillance audit with no findings or concerns. To maintain ISO certification a company is subject to a three year rotation of audits beginning with a reassessment followed by surveillance audits the following two years.

Earnest Machine first achieved ISO certification over 20 years ago in order to meet a customer’s requirement. Since that time, Earnest has continued to pursue ISO and incorporate it into company culture.

“ISO is something with which companies choose to comply,” said Jeannie Burgess, ISO Quality Systems Manager at Earnest. “It’s not mandatory that we have ISO certification to function as a company, however, it helps show our customers that we are committed to doing what we say we will do.  The audit process looks at things such as how we manage our suppliers, our objectives we defined to meet customer requirements, and how we provide training and its effectiveness.”

ISO certification is a way Earnest can stay honest with customers. “Our goal is to provide the best in class customer experience, we need to show customers that our people are well-trained and our processes are efficient and repeatable,” said Burgess. “ISO is a way we can show our expertise and reliability, which positively affects our customers because our success correlates with their success.”

In addition to meeting ISO certification, Earnest provides monthly Distributor Performance Reports reviewing performance in four categories including: On-Time Delivery, Parts Accuracy, Quantity Accuracy, and Order Entry Accuracy. The purpose of sharing this information publicly is so customers understand Earnest sets high expectations for itself. If numbers fall short of goal, Earnest wants to share that we are aware and are focusing on intentionally driving the metric back to goal.

Customer experience is incredibly important to Earnest Machine. With the success of this year’s ISO Audit, recent Distribution Center moves, and continued transparency with Distribution Performance Metrics, current and prospective customers can feel confident they will receive the best customer experience.
