June Distribution Performance Report

The month of June brought change and growth to Earnest. We moved our Indianapolis DC to a new location in June; approximately 146 truckloads of product and many other technology and facility related changes. A move of such magnitude expectedly threw a few challenges our way as we fell just shy of our goals for our quality metrics. Despite the move, out of the 7046 lines shipped in June, we had fewer than seven errors per metric, and we issued twelve service guarantees in response to those errors. 

 

We took a hit, as expected, with on our on-time delivery metric for June. The Indianapolis DC move during the week of June 1stcontributed to a decline from 87.99% in May to 70.41% in June.  The good news is that we are quickly recovering from the Indianapolis move according to our daily numbers since shipping resumed on June 11th. We are expecting a better report for July. These moves have allowed us to reduce our footprint in our DCs and improve our work areas and process flows.

  • On Time Delivery – 70.41% (17.58 decrease from May)

    • Austell – 82.99%  (.69 decrease from May)

    • Indy – 55.89% - (35.62 decrease from May)
