higher Earnest quality standards as well. Earnest is committed to
delivering a product that insures that the cap screw will function
properly and meet the demanding loads that are encountered in many
applications. At first glance hex cap screws from different sources may look the same. But a closer look at the critical features shows that not all cap screws are made equally.Earnest
Machine Products’ laboratory has many years of experience in testing
and inspection of hex cap screws to ensure that the cap screws provided
not only meet the industry requirements for hex cap screws but that the
quality standard is not compromised.Some
of the key features that our lab sees from less quality houses show
that they do not provide enough attention to detail on features that
help ensure a cap screw will assemble properly and meet the demanding
loads that are encountered in many applications.View This Item In Our Catalog
Earnest Quality

Poor Quality

Trim on Hex Corners: Hex head cap screws with poorly trimmed heads will have burrs extending past the bearing face.
Bearing Face: Poor quality cap screws will have undersized and poorly formed bearing faces.
Fillet Radius: Poor quality cap screws will have marginal radiuses under the head.
Thread
Transition: On poor quality screws the thread runs right up to the body
resulting in an area that is prone to fatigue failures.
Point: Poorly formed points make it difficult to install a nut or install the cap screws into threaded holes.
Unique To Earnest:
Large diameters, long lengths, course and fine thread
Fully threaded to the head tap bolts
