12 POINT FLANGE SCREWS
Often referred to as “ferry
cap screws”, Twelve Point Flange Screws offer an alternative head design for the hex socket cap screws. The
higher strength and larger bearing under the head (flange) provide
additional benefits for assemblies over a standard hex head capscrew as
well. The twelve
point design permits greater torque to be applied to the screw and
eliminates rounding out of the hex socket that occurs with standard hex
socket screws. If you are currently using a hex socket head capscrew,
this design will provide the additional benefit of taking a higher
torque without stripping/ or rounding out.
Earnest’s twelve point
flange screws are made from alloy steel and heat treated to 170,000 psi tensile
strength for excellent strength and toughness.
