Pyramid Fasteners, Inc

Destiny: [des-tuh-nee] - noun: The seemingly inevitable succession of events that leads to what is to come. When you read the definition of destiny, and listen to the history of Pyramid Fasteners, you can’t help but wonder if fasteners were just in the cards for Theresa Pickard, owner of Pyramid Fasteners in Bartow, Florida.

Pyramid Fasteners opened for business in 1977 as a small venture by a husband and wife team.
Theresa came on board in high school, joining the staff of 3: the same said couple and one warehouse person. It was 1979 and Theresa kept track of the inventory on 4 x 6 cards, tended to the mail, and took orders over the phone as her part-time high school job, and continued on through her college years. As time went by, Theresa took on more and more responsibility while learning more and more about fasteners and distribution. When college graduation came, the owners asked Theresa to stay on and take over the operation of Pyramid Fasteners.

By 1988 Pyramid had grown to 8 employees and the owners were ready to sell. They found an interested buyer, Bill Diehl from Michigan, who was ready to move to Florida and wanted something to keep him busy until he was ready to retire. So, as fate would have it, Bill agreed to buy Pyramid with one stipulation… Theresa had to be part of the package. If she agreed to stay and run the business for him, in return, hewould eventually sell the business to her. Ten years later ownership of Pyramid Fasteners was in the rightful hands of Theresa Pickard.

Sounds like destiny, but there was a lot of hard work and dedication involved. Pyramid Fasteners evolved and grew by always remaining responsive to, and driven by, customer needs.

Located in Central Florida, Pyramid Fasteners is in the heart of the Phosphate, Mining, and Power
industries. Large diameter and high-quality fasteners are required by these hard working customers and they can always turn to Pyramid for quality and value. Pyramid delivers 95% of their orders on their own trucks, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. By remaining customer driven and service oriented, Pyramid has grown to 14 employees while staying true to Theresa’s business values: delivering quality product with superb personal service. With an extensive product line that handles machine shop facilities to custom fabricate studs, anchor bolts, and special threaded fasteners Pyramid can offer exactly what their customers need, fast. In the demanding industries that Pyramid’s customers service, this standard of service is greatly appreciated.

“We treat our customers the way we want to be treated, like family”, says Theresa. “I have a great
group of people working here with me, two of them have been here over 20 years, and several over 10 years. My children grew up here; I would weigh them on the bolt scale when they were little!” Daughter Morgan is a member of the Pyramid team and son Brandon fills in when he is not away at college. Only time will tell if they will follow in their mom’s footsteps, but this is certain: the path that Theresa Pickard “chose” was a natural progression of events that led to a flourishing business. Earnest is proud to partner with Pyramid Fasteners. We respect their core values of putting their customers first and responding to theirneeds. We have been supplying fasteners to Pyramid
since 1977 and we wish them continued success.
