The Enercon E-126: It’s All The Rage!

Hollywood’s newest toy is the Enercon E-126 wind turbine.

The Enercon E-126 is currently the largest wind turbine in the world with a capacity for 7 megawatts of power.   In operation in Emden, Germany, this innovative engineering marvel has the ability to power 5,000 households of four in Europe, 1,776 homes in the United States, or all four of Al Gore’s homes at current rates of consumption.

Even the Queen of England has the E-126 bug and considers wind as a viable alternative energy source. As plans develop there, Hollywood’s interest also rises but more along the lines of status.

Donald Trump believes that the Enercon E-126 can fuel the next big craze in casino luxury.   “People love vibrating beds.  They see a bed that can vibrate, and they go nuts for it.  Especially when it’s made entirely of gold.  I’m installing gold vibrating beds in every room in my casinos; the Enercon E-126 will make that possible.  I’m hoping that my turbine will also be gold.  It’s gonna be huge.”

Trump’s not the only one ogling these Enercon beauties. Flashy new features like the optimized blade design with a spoiler extending down to the hub and the pre-cast concrete base allure others. Performance-wise the E-126’s is expected to far surpass the E-112. That’s what attracted Paris Hilton. “We thought about the 112, but I just had to have the spoiler, so we went for the E-126 upgrade,” Hilton said.

Apart from its visual appeal, the E-126 efficiently and effectively delivers energy with little impact on the environment.  It’s also built to last. The Enercon E-126 has no gearbox reducing the overall wear and tear on the unit, and the strategic placement of the generator, at the widest section of the nose cone, allows for more power.

The E-126 holds one of the greatest features of small turbines, using inverters as opposed to synchronous generators. AC can now be converted into a useful source of power delivering optimal rotor activity and stronger, more consistent results.

Effective energy mining and condition sensitive rotor technology also allows the E-126 to recognize high winds and gusts that would shut down most turbines and make necessary directional adjustments to continue to generate power.

But technological breakthroughs didn’t necessarily influence Paula Abdul’s purchase. “Sure, they told us about all that, I think.  I mean, when we bought the place the wind was included, but until now we never used it. It was a no-brainer.  People ask if we’re going green, but the answer is no.  I’m going to paint it pink to match the rose garden,” Abdul said.

As the personal wind turbine swell continues to grow, some celebrities have assumed elaborate and unnecessary expenses.  Ed Begley, Jr. notes, “This is getting ridiculous, folks.  Wind turbines help to save the environment; to save our planet, not to serve as a conversation piece.  I own an electric car to do my part to save the world, not to talk endlessly about it and how it makes me better than everybody else,” he grumbled.

Wind turbines like the E-126 are changing the global playing field.  Hollywood obsessions aside, the breakthrough of smarter, more environmentally friendly wind turbines have put the industry and Enercon in position to revolutionize energy generation and make inroads to clean and practical power solutions.  The Enercon E-126 has certainly helped to lead the way in the green energy movement. And besides, consider how great it would look next to your guesthouse or lagoon pool.
